PUNE: Indications that the parents tried to save the 17-year-old in the accident where a speeding Porsche car killed two engineers. The driver had told the police that he was driving the vehicle at the time of the accident. The 17-year-old's mother and father are the ones who asked the driver to give this statement to the police. They also offered to pay him money as a reward in lieu of pleading guilty.

During interrogation, the 17-year-old told the police that his driver was the one driving the car. His two friends who were with him at the time of the accident also supported this. Following this, the driver was questioned on Thursday. However, the investigation revealed that the 17-year-old, who is suspected of causing the accident, had driven cars before too. The 17-year-old was driving an Audi car owned by his father who is doing real estate business.

Pune Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar rejected the allegation that the 17-year-old who was brought to the police station after causing the accident was bought burger and pizza. The police arrested the 17-year-old's father, Vishal Agarwal, following the accident on May 19.

There was a strong protest on social media after the 17-year-old who caused an accident by driving a Porsche Taycan at a speed of more than 200 km while drunk was immediately granted bail. The car has been running for months, with only a six-month temporary registration from Karnataka. The registration of the car was pending since March due to non-payment of Rs 1,758 fees. Officials informed that the vehicle owner has to pay this amount and get the registration.

The 17-year-old caused the accident last Saturday while speeding at more than 200 kmph after drinking with his friends in a Porsche Taycan worth 2.5 crore rupees. Two 24-year-old software engineers from Jabalpur in MP, Anish Awadhia and Ashwini Kosta, were killed in the crash.
