One charred to death as running car catches fire in Kozhikode

KOZHIKODE: A man was charred to death when the car he was driving caught fire. The incident happened at 12.15 pm near Konad Beach in Kozhikode. The car exploded as soon as it caught fire. There was only one person in the car.

Seeing the car stopping, the fishermen in the beach tried to save him. However, he could not be saved as his seat belt got stuck. When the fire spread, they abandoned the rescue attempt. The fire brigade was immediately informed, but by the time they arrived, the car was completely burnt. The fire department said they are collecting information about the dead.
