'Muraleedharan should be made KPCC president'; posters appear in Thiruvananthapuram

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Posters have appeared in the state capital demanding that Congress leader K Muraleedharan should be made the KPCC president. The posters in the names of Congress workers were put up near KPCC and DCC offices last night.

The headline of the posters read, 'Let the captain come to lead'. Following his statement that he wanted to stay away from public life after losing the Thrissur Lok Sabha election, Muraleedharan's support inside the party grew. Senior party leaders and Muslim League leader PK Kunhalikutty also announced their public support for him.

Posters expressing support for Murali have appeared near the party headquarters at a time when the party leadership is about to start the discussion on change in leadership.
