KOLLAM: The SNDP Yogam Karunagappally Union Council clarified that if SNDP Yogam General Secretary Vellapally Natesan who constantly raises his voice for equal justice, is isolated and attacked for speaking the truth, the Yogam would strongly defend it and the members of various communities in Kerala will rally behind him.

'The feeder organizations of the Muslim League and some other movements have come down heavily against Vellappally Natesan for calling out the reality that the Left is gifting the Muslim community what it does not deserve. AK Antony, the senior Congress leader, had already said what Vellapally Natesan said. Apart from that, Muslim League leader MK Muneer had said after the parliamentary elections that Muslim appeasement would harm the CPM. It is the Ezhava community that is getting ignored and suffering losses when many get what they do not deserve. This will become clear if we look at the representation in the Legislative Assembly, local bodies, government jobs and other important seats. If we examine the number of educational institutions run by various religious and communal movements in Kerala and the courses in these institutions, we will get the real picture of the neglect that the Ezhava community is facing,' the council said.

'It is true that the LDF and UDF are giving the Muslim community what it does not deserve to get power and remain in power. Instead of throwing stones at those who point it out, introspection and correction should be done. Even the applications submitted by Sree Narayana movements seeking various demands are being thrown in the dustbin by the government departments,' the council stated.

In the meeting presided over by Union President K. Sushilan, Secretary Union A. Somarajan, Vice President S. Sobhanan, Board members KP Rajan, K. J Prasenan, Councilors Biju Ravindran, Oachira Sreekumar, Anil Balakrishnan, Sushilan Oachira, Klapana Shibu and Vinod, Sarathchandran spoke.
