CPM worker arrested for allegedly throwing bomb at house of BJP activist in Kannur

KANNUR: A CPM worker has been arrested by the police for allegedly throwing a bomb at the house of a BJP worker. The incident took place in Chalakkara in Kannur. The bomb hit the house of Sanoop, a BJP worker. The bomb was allegedly hurled by Arun, a CPM worker who came wearing a rain coat.

CCTV footage of the bombing has surfaced. The police clarified that it was a steel bomb that was thrown at Sanoop's house. The house was bombed last Sunday. No one was home at the time and no one was hurt.

At the same time, the police said that the house has suffered significant damage. After the results of the Lok Sabha elections, there was tension in the area. Two days ago, two CPM workers were hacked. Four BJP workers have been arrested in this case.

Due to the possibility of conflict in Kannur district, a high alert was issued from the day of Lok Sabha election result announcement. Political parties were also prohibited from provoking opposing parties during victory celebrations or cheering in front of the houses of defeated candidates.
