MUMBAI: A 23-year-old Mumbai native died tragically after her car accidentally fell into a 300-ft valley while taking Instagram reels. Social media influencer Shweta Deepak Surwase, from Hanumannagar in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, is the deceased.
According to reports, it was near the Dattdham temple in the Suli Bhanjan area that the incident occurred. At around 2 pm in the hilly region, Swetha was accompanied by her friend Shivraj Sanjay Mule, who was tasked with filming the reels.
A video has also emerged showing the incident. In the video, Shivam can be heard telling Swetha to take the reverse slowly. Swetha mistakenly pedalled the accelerator while in reverse and the vehicle swiftly moved in reverse gear to fall off the cliff.
Despite the sudden rescue work, the young woman died even before reaching the hospital. According to police, many such cases are now being reported in Maharashtra and authorities promised to take stern action to prevent such tragedies from happening again.
