NEW DELHI: The Delhi High Court will pronounce its verdict on the Enforcement Directorate's (ED) plea challenging the bail granted to Arvind Kejriwal in the excise policy case on Tuesday. Justice Sudhir Kumar Jain will deliver the verdict at 2:30 pm.
Meanwhile, the Supreme Court on Monday opined that the Delhi High Court's approach to reserve order on the ED's stay application against Arvind Kejriwal's bail was "a bit unusual.". The Court commented that in the usual course, stay orders are passed "on the spot" immediately after the hearing and are not reserved.
However, the apex court refused to immediately intervene in the plea filed by Kejriwal questioning the temporary stay issued by the High Court. After Solicitor General SV Raju said that the High Court would issue the verdict very soon, the Supreme Court said that it would consider the case after two days.
