'Hated Kalki trailer but now......'; watch first-day theatre response of 'Kalki 2898 AD'

'Kalki 2898 AD’ directed by Nag Ashwin is finally in theatres and the reviews are slowly finding their way out. The film had all the hype for the tier 1 cast lineup that included Prabhas, Kamal Haasan, Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Shobhana, Dulquer Salmaan, Disha Patani, Pashupati, Vijay Devarakonda, Anna Ben and Keerthy Suresh.

'Kalki 2898 AD' is the modern-day depiction of the epic Mahabharata. The film produced by C Ashwini Dutt under the banner of Vyjayanthi Movies is distributed in Kerala by Wayfarer Films.

Some were in awe over the movie's VFX work which they said matched the might of Hollywood movies. Many also highlighted how they had to dump their prediction of the movie’s failure after watching the ‘dismal’ trailer.

• “I saw the trailer and didn’t like it one bit, but now, I stand changed. The movie is a marvel and one should not miss the theatre experience.” said one audience.
• “Rebel staaaar!!!” screamed another fan of Prabhas.
• “After watching the movie, I feel like I hit a jackpot. That is my true feeling. The makers deserve all the praise for their worldly work.” said another audience.
• “With this 700 crore budget, we could have made seven great Malayalam movies. This is just crap by stuffing many actors to do roles which are ill pleasing.” said an irked audience.
• “ A great watch, the best of Prabhas after Bahubali,” said another.
