Loud explosion like sound heard in Kozhikode; people panicked; alert issued

KOZHIKODE: A loud explosion like sound was heard in Kallanode Illipilai area. The residents of Koorachundu panchayat said that they heard a frightening sound at around 10:30 last night in Illipilai NREP Poothot area of the 7th ward of Koorachundu panchayat. Locals also said that they heard loud noises in Kallanode Poovath and Chola areas.

Following this, people are being relocated from the houses in Poothot. This is also an area where the earth has cracked due to landslides. People's representatives and officials reached the place of the incident and issued an alert.
