PATHANAMTHITTA: Reports said women are subjected to abusive dialogues by a person every day in some way. In the crime mapping survey conducted by Kudumbashree, it was found that the most common violence faced by women is hearing abuses.
This is the figure of a survey conducted in six CDSs of Kudumbashree in the financial year 2023-24 to develop resistance to violence faced by women. In other CDSs, the survey will be conducted in the second phase. Crime Mapping is a collection of data on the problems faced by women across the district. Data collection was done by the resource team who are Kudumbashree workers. In the first phase, the crime mapping survey was conducted in six CDSs namely Anikad, Kadapra, Erath, Pandalam Thekkakara, Chenneerkara and Pramadam.
Woman victimized more than once
8877 women have been subjected to 66,008 acts of violence. It means that a woman has been subjected to various types of violence more than once. While the most common form of abuse is verbal (obscenity), demand for dowry is at the forefront of financial abuse. Others include beatings, groping, unavailability of essential services from offices and staring.

11. Vigilant Group– Strengthen vigilance committee.
Verbal (profanity) is more common in crime mapping survey. More plans will be implemented for preventive measures.
