Inserts stick in private part; woman found dead in Cheruthuruthi turns to be brutal murder

THRISSUR: The police said the incident in which a woman was found dead in Cheruthuruthi is a murder. The dead is Selvi (50), a native of Tamil Nadu. She was found dead Monday morning.

Selvi's husband is Thamizharasu (55) of Kallakurichi in Tamil Nadu. He informed the police station that his wife has been found dead. The police reached the spot and then sent the body for post-mortem. The post-mortem report revealed that the death was a murder.

She was murdered after inserting a wooden stick in her private part. Police said the accused committed the murder under the influence of alcohol. He committed the heinous crime under the Cheruthuruthi bridge and then dumped the body in a nearby waiting shed. The accused confessed to the crime during police interrogation and he was arrested soon.
