PATNA: There was an attempt to gangrape a nurse in a private hospital in Bihar. The Bihar Police informed that she escaped from there after mutilating the assailant with a blade in his private part. Bihar Police said that one of the assaulters is a doctor and is an administrator of RBS Health Care Centre in Gangapur under Musrighararari Police Station in Samastipur district. The doctor who tried to rape her is Sanjay Kumar. He and two of his associates, all in an inebriated condition tried to gangrape her. She used a blade to slash the doctor’s genitals when trying to free herself from the clutches of the doctor.
She managed to escape and called the police after hiding in a field outside the hospital.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Sanjay Kumar Pandey said a team was rushed to the hospital and after making sure that the nurse was safe, three people were arrested including the doctor. The other two Awadhesh Kumar and Sunil Kumar Gupta.
During the initial investigation, the police recovered the blade used by the nurse, blood-stained clothes, a liquor bottle and three mobile phones. The police said the three were drunk and a case will be filed against them under the Prohibition Act based on the declaration of dry state in Bihar.
