Actor Rajinikanth hospitalized in Chennai, condition stable, says report

CHENNAI: Reports said actor Rajinikanth has been admitted to a hospital in Chennai. He has been admitted to Apollo Hospital in Chennai for an elective procedure. Reports said his health condition is satisfactory. He is under the treatment of cardiologist Dr Sai Satish. His wife Latha while talking to a media said that he is fine.

The 73-year-old was busy with the film Coolie by Lokesh Kanagaraj. He has been admitted in the hospital amidst this. The actor’s Vettaiyan by director Gnanavel Raja is slated to release on October 12. Other casts include Manju Warrier, Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Ritika Singh, Dushara Vijayan and Abhirami.

The actor had undergone a kidney transplant in Singapore. Recently, he opted out of his much talked about political plunge citing health issues.
