PATHANAMTHITTA: Nursing student Ammu Sajeev's family has filed a fresh complaint over her death. Ammu's father Sajeev filed a complaint against Saji, a teacher in the Department of Psychiatry at Chuttipara Nursing College. Sajeev alleges that Ammu was mentally tortured by the teacher Saji and the accused students saying that the log book was missing.

A trial was conducted in the name of counselling by keeping the accused students on one side and Ammu on the other. The teacher tried Ammu for more than two hours. Ammu died after falling from the top of the hostel building after this, Sajeev said. Sajeev said that he is satisfied with the police investigation and the culprits should be punished. Sajeev alleged that the principal was not saying the things he had said earlier.

It was earlier hinted that mental torture was the reason behind the death of Ammu A Sajeev, final year student of BSc Nursing at Chuttipara SME Nursing College, who was a native of Thiruvananthapuram. Ammu Sajeev who had fell from the third floor of a private hostel in Vettipra, was found by her classmates at seven o'clock in the night. She died while being taken to Thiruvananthapuram Medical College with serious injuries. The Pathanamthitta police conducted a preliminary investigation into the incident.

The Pathanamthitta police said that Ammu's father Sajeev had earlier complained to the principal of the nursing college that Ammu was being tortured mentally by some of her classmates. In the complaint, it was said that there was a threat to Ammu's life. Sajeev had come to the college to lodge a complaint. However, it is alleged that the college authorities did not take the complaint seriously.

Ammu was troubled by physical problems like migraines. Ammu, who was not interested in going on a study tour from college, was made the tour coordinator. According to the father's complaint, Ammu came to know about this only when the announcement was made. Police searched Ammu's room in the hostel. On the page of the diary is written a sentence 'I Quit'. A mobile phone was also recovered. Pathanamthitta DYSP S. Nandakumar is leading the investigation.
