Accident while boarding Kannur-Ernakulam Jn Intercity Exp; dead person yet to be identified as his phone was destroyed

KANNUR: Train passenger met a tragic end when he got caught between the train and the platform at the Kannur railway station. The accident took place when the man was trying to board the Kannur-Ernakulam Junction Intercity Express. The seriously injured man was rushed to the hospital, but his life could not be saved.

He tried to board the train from the platform before the train started moving but his foot slipped in the meantime. No one else was with him. As the speed of the train increased, he could not escape.

Other passengers pulled him out from between the train and the platform. He was shifted to the district hospital later. The deceased youth has not yet been identified. As his phone was also broken in the accident, other ways are being sought to confirm the identity of the deceased.
