Mohanlal to play superstar's father again in Tamil? 

Reports say Mohanlal is going to be active in Tamil after his latest film ‘Thudarum’ is running successfully. A leading film media reported that Mohanlal will be playing the father of a Tamil superstar. Mohanlal had played Vijay's father in the film Jilla released in 2014.

It is reported that Mohanlal will be acting in a film of Sivakarthikeyan, who is also a favorite star of Malayalees. Sivakarthikeyan in his 24th film will be collaborating with Vinayak Chandrasekhar, who directed the hit film Good Night. Mohanlal will be appearing in a film that focuses on a father-son relationship. There has been no official confirmation in this regard yet. It is reported that discussions are underway.

Mohanlal's film Thudarum, which hit the theaters on April 25, has become the highest-grossing film in Kerala. This was announced by the film's distributor, Aashirvad Cinemas. ‘Thudarum' achieved this feat by surpassing Jude Anthony Joseph's film '2018'. It surpassed Mohanlal-Vysakh's film Pulimurugan, released in 2016, to become the highest-grossing film in Kerala in 2018.

Mohanlal is now acting in the film ‘Hridayapoorvam', directed by Sathyan Anthikad. It is reported that Mohanlal is in the film Jailer 2, which has started shooting and stars Rajinikanth in the lead. Mohanlal's role in the first part of this was much noticed. Meantime, Sivakarthikeyan's new film is the action thriller Madrasi, directed by A R Murugadoss.
