MAHI: It was a blissful moment for Dr Lijin, assistant professor of Mahi Government Ayurveda Medical College when he got his lost Balero car back, after six months. The thief, who felt guilty of his act, turned out to be a role model when he returned the stolen car to its owner.

The incident took place at Meenangadi in Wayanad. The burglar broke into the house of the doctor to get hold of the keys and then stole the car after destroying the shutter of the car porch. After being stolen, within a period of six months, the car covered a distance of 4,000 kilometres. The good hearted thief, finally returned the car along with a letter sent to RCC saying that the car has been parked in the ground of Kozhikode Medical College and seeking forgiveness for his offensive act. The copy of the letter was sent to the police too. The car was found and produced in the court by Meenagadi police.
