crime

KOLLAM: In the case pertaining to the death of Dinesh (25), an auto-driver from Kulathupuzha, Chandanakavu native Rashmi (25), who is in remand, will be taken into police custody for collecting evidence and for further investigation.
Kulathupuzha CI informed that they will move court for her custody soon. The assumption till now is that nobody else has any role in the murder but as some speculations are there on that account, the police will probe that aspects, as well. They also aim to recover mobile phone from her.
Dinesh was found dead in the kitchen of Rashmi’s house.
Rashmi and Dinesh had been in a relationship for a long period and Ramesh used to visit her house now and then. On the fatal day, Dinesh reached her house in another person’s auto-rickshaw. Her mother was not at home.
Dinesh picked a quarrel with her, alleging that she was having an affair with some other person. When Rashmi refuted the allegation, he went on to snatch her mobile phone, to check her whastap messages and call list. In the tussle that ensued, Dinesh fell down, hitting his head against the bed. The head injury could be the result of the death, according to the police.

They added that the true picture would come out only when the post-mortem report will be out.
