KOCHI: The Kerala High Court postponed considering the bail plea of M Sivasankar, former principal secretary to the chief minister, who is in the custody of ED and in jail for having links in the money laundering deal connected to the gold smuggling case. His bail plea will be considered again on December 2nd.
Sivasankar argued in the court that the case against him is based on the statement of Swapna Suresh, accused in the gold smuggling case, and was arrested in the name of it. The ED argued in the court that the money recovered from Swapna’s locker was Sivasankar’s commission. Sivasankar was arrested on October 28 following the allegation of his connection in the gold smuggling case.
