THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Center has approved the activities worth Rs 791 crore submitted by Samagra Shiksha Kerala for the development of the education sector in the academic year 2021-22. The amount has been approved by the Project Approval Board of the Union Ministry of Education. Funds were allocated for academic activities from pre-school to higher secondary and for infrastructure development, teacher training and diet adjustment. The project worth Rs 1,404 crore has been submitted.
The Union Ministry of Education lauded the exemplary work done in the field of education during the Covid period. APM Mohammad Haneesh, Secretary, Department of Public Instruction, explained the activities during the Covid period. Director K Jeevanbabu, Samagra Shiksha Kerala State Project Director Dr. AP Kuttikrishnan, SCERT Director Dr. J Prasad and others also attended the online meeting.
