THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said in a press conference that the prices of items required for treatment and care have been capped in view of the increasing number of Covid cases in the state. Prices were revised under the Kerala Essential Articles Control Act, 1986.
The price was fixed for PPE kit is Rs 273, Rs 22 for N95 mask, Rs 3.90 for triple layer mask, Rs 21 for face shield, Rs 12 for disposable apron, Rs 65 for surgical gown, Rs 5.75 for disposable gloves, Rs 192 for 500 ml sanitizer and Rs 98 for 200 ml, Rs 55 per 100 ml, Rs 15 per pair for sterile gloves, Rs 80 for NRB mask, Rs 54 for oxygen mask, Rs 1520 for humidifier flowmeter and Rs 1500 for finger tip pulse oximeter.
The CM said there was no need to worry too much about oxygen. The supply of oxygen from outside will increase in the next few days. With the availability of 150 MT from the Centre through the Oxygen Express and more from three other places , problem will not arise. The CM said that he has directed those concerned to monitor the situation closely.
