Complaint to HC Chief Justice against swearing in ceremony, demand to host function at Raj Bhavan

KOCHI: A complaint has been lodged against the swearing in ceremony of the second Pinarayi government. Anil Thomas, a lawyer and George Sebastian, state chief of Democratic Party, filed the complaint with the Chief Justice of the High Court and a senior judge.

The complaint alleged that there is a move to invite more than 700 people for the function in the wake of rising Covid cases. The complaint demanded to hold the function at the Raj Bhavan and asked the court to take a case voluntarily.

The complainants mentioned in the letter that it is violation of law to hold a function in Thiruvananthapuram where there is a triple lockdown. The letter pointed that the complaint is of urgent importance.
