'Convicts in Rajiv Gandhi assassination case should be released, delay in decision is inhumane'; MK Stalin writes to president

CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin has requested the President to release the convicts in the Rajiv Gandhi assassination case. In a letter to the President, Stalin asked the President to accept the Tamil Nadu government's recommendation to remit the sentence of the seven life convicts in the case. Stalin added that delaying the decision on the government's recommendation was inhumane.

All the seven convicts should be released immediately. They have been suffering unparalleled pain and suffering for three decades. In the letter, Stalin said that the people of Tamil Nadu wanted the convicts to be released.
