THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Congress MLA Anwar Sadath has given a befitting reply to M Mukesh’s jibe on Rahul Gandhi. During the budget discussion, Mukesh has said that Rahul Gandhi should be declared as the ambassador of Kerala tourism as he jumped into the sea in Kollam during the assembly polls campaign. “Even though Rahul jumped into the sea no other Congress activist jumped along with him. Big leaders are farsighted too, that is why Rahul Gandhi jumped into the sea symbolically, indicating his party’s poor state of affairs in Kerala.”

In his reply, Aluva member Anwar Sadat Mukesh alleged that similar to BJP, LDF is also trying to discredit and insult Rahul Gandhi and if this is their stand I can only tell them the film dialogue, “Thomaskutty run.”

He also alleged that Mukesh is only reading out some sub-standard script written for him by somebody else. When Mukesh said that Rahul Gandhi did not pay the bill for the hotel where he was staying, PC Vishnunath raised the issue as a violation of procedure but Mukesh continued his speech.

He also didn’t pay heed to the repeated directions of the speaker to conclude his words. He replied that am not ready to pay heed. At last, when members from the treasury bench pleaded at him to stop, he concluded his speech. When PC Vishnunath informed him that the hotel manager has made it clear that Rahul Gandhi has paid the bill, Mukesh replied, “the hotel manager was saved, good for him.”
