Problems in Vismaya’s married life, severe harassment in name of car got as dowry, was she hanged after killing her?

KOLLAM: Her relatives levelled serious allegations against her husband soon after the woman was found hanging. Vismaya, a native of Kaithod in Nilamel committed suicide by hanging at her husband’s residence Monday early morning.

Kiran Kumar, an official in the motor vehicle department, married Vismaya a year ago. Her relatives alleged that her husband and in-laws had harassed her brutally in the name of dowry. She reached her own house recently following some problems at her in-laws. The issue was later settled and she was sent back.

Kiran had yesterday beat her in the name of the car got as dowry. He later hurled abuses at her father. He had also smashed the car’s rear glass. She had sent the pictures of the beat marks to her brother. These Whatspp chats are out now.

Within hours of receiving the message, they heard her death news. Her parents said the body was removed from Kiran's house by the time they reached there. They alleged that Vismaya was hanged after murdering her. Kiran has gone into hiding.
