Examine DYFI's fund source, gold smuggling has increased under Pinarayi Vijayan's rule: AN Radhakrishnan

KOTTAYAM: BJP leader AN Radhakrishnan has demanded that the source of funds of DYFI be examined. The CPM and DYFI provide operating funds for the party in all the states of the country from Kerala. He also alleged that gold smuggling has increased in the state under Pinarayi Vijayan's rule. Radhakrishnan also asked whether the CPI (M) was distributing gold smuggling money in various states.

"According to reports, gold smuggling has increased in the state under Pinarayi Vijayan's rule. According to customs, Arjun Ayanki smuggled gold 22 times. It is estimated that he has smuggled 17 kg of gold so far. The CPM and DYFI are intertwined with gold smuggling gangs".

Kodiyeri Balakrishnan, the CPM state secretary, was given a mini cooper by people associated with the Koduvalli gold smuggling gang. The incident was indicative of the CPM's links with the gold smuggling ring. The CPM explains that Arjun Ayanki has no affiliation with the party. He is said to have been expelled from the party earlier. Radhakrishnan also asked why the party expelled Arjun Ayanki.

If it was found to be related to gold smuggling, then why was the information not reported to the police at that time. The CPM should give an explanation in this regard. Radhakrishnan said the incident would be brought to the notice of the Union Home Ministry.

"Under the rule of Pinarayi Vijayan, such investigations by the state investigative agencies will not bear fruit. That is why we are informing the central government, ”he added.
