Kerala clocks 13,772 COVID-19 cases on Thursday, 142 deaths

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state confirmed 13,772 COVID-19 cases on Thursday. Among these, 12,937 persons developed the disease through contact, including 718 cases without an identified source of infection. 60 persons, who came from outside the state, tested positive for the virus. 57 health workers contracted the disease on Thursday.

11,414 patients tested negative for the virus today. As of now, there are 1,10,136 active cases in the state.

The state confirmed 142 deaths due to the virus on Thursday with the toll rising to 14,250.

District wise breakup of positive cases:
Malappuram 1981, Kozhikode 1708, Thrissur 1403, Ernakulam 1323, Kollam 1151, Palakkad 1130, Thiruvananthapuram 1060, Kannur 897, Alappuzha 660, Kasaragod 660, Kottayam 628, Wayanad 459, Pathanamthitta 434, Idukki 278.

1,27,152 samples were tested in the last 24 hours. The test positivity rate stands at 10.83.
