Kerala clocks 18,531 COVID-19 cases on Saturday, TPR at 11.91, 98 deaths

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state confirmed 18,531 COVID-19 cases on Saturday. Among these, 17,538 persons developed the disease through contact, including 806 cases without an identified source of infection. 113 persons, who came from outside the state, tested positive for the virus. 74 health workers contracted the disease on Saturday.

15,507 patients tested negative for the virus today. As of now, there are 1,38,124 active cases in the state.

The state confirmed 98 deaths due to the virus on Saturday with the toll rising to 15,969.

Malappuram 2816, Thrissur 2498, Kozhikode 2252, Ernakulam 2009, Palakkad 1624, Kollam 1458, Thiruvananthapuram 1107, Kannur 990, Alappuzha 986, Kottayam 760, Kasargod 669, Wayanad 526, Pathanamthitta 485, Idukki 351.

1,55,568 samples were tested in the last 24 hours. The test positivity rate stands at 11.91.
