Three arrested with drugs worth Rs 40 lakh in Kozhikode

KOZHIKODE: The police on Friday seized drugs worth Rs 40 lakh from a place near Kozhikode Medical College. Three people were arrested and 40 grams of MDMA drugs were seized from them. They were nabbed by a police team led by the Kozhikode Medical College Assistant Commissioner. The arrested are Noufal (33), Anwar Tasnim (35), and Mansoor (35) from Kozhikode.

Police suspect that one of them was involved in the Karipur gold smuggling. Anwar was a convict in a heroin smuggling case. Police said he was sentenced to eight years in prison in the case.
