Student who climbed tree for network coverage falls, seriously injured

KOOTHUPARAMBA: A student suffered serious injuries after he fell from a tree while trying to get network coverage. The injured student has been identified as Ananthu Babu (16), son of P Babu and Usha from Panniyode tribal hamlet.

Ananthu Babu climbed the tree at 12.30 pm yesterday to know the details of the Plus One application. He fell from the tree after stepping on a broken twig. Ananthu, who suffered serious injuries, was rushed to Koothuparamba Taluk Hospital and later to Kannur District Hospital. However, he was shifted to Kannur Govt Medical College due to serious injuries.
