One killed in fire in Thrippunithura

KOCHI: One person was killed after a fire broke out at a furniture shop at Petta in Thrippunithura. The dead has not been identified. The body is kept at the Thrippunithura taluk hospital. The shop belongs to Basheer, native of Thrippunithura.

Basheer and his family were rescued from the house adjacent to the workshop. The family, who entered the bathroom to escape from the fire, were rescued by the fire force after smashing the ventilator.
