THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that the Railways has informed that it will not be able to take over the debt of the Silverline project, the prestigious project of the state government. The Chief Minister made the announcement after a meeting with Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw. He said that the state has been asked to clarify the issue as the railways could not take over the debt and that further discussions would be held in this regard. Kerala has asked the Union Railway Minister to expedite the final approval for the semi-high speed rail project. The CM added that it will be examined whether the state can take over the debt of loans taken through international agencies.
