THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Minister Saji Cherian on Saturday slammed Anupama Chandran and her husband Ajith in connection with the adoption controversy. Speaking at a function held in the Karyavattom campus of Kerala University, the minister indirectly criticized Anupama and her husband by stating that some people with immoral life were destroying the hopes of parents having girl children.
"A married person, who has two or three children, developed an affair with his friend's wife. Later, he fell in love with a young girl and gave her a child. Now, this person is saying that the girl's father who questioned this should go to jail," the minister said.
"I also have three girls. I don't understand how that girl turned against her father who took care of her all these years. Children should also try to understand the mindset of the parents," he added.
