KOCHI: The Thrikkakkara municipality has denied permission for the shoot of Sathyan Anthicaud’s new film starring Jayaram and Meera Jasmine. Meera Jasmine is returning after a long hiatus. Two of the film crew approached the chairperson with the request to give the Thrikkakkara bus stand for the shoot of the film. Ajitha Thankappan, the municipal chairperson and also a congress activist, blasted at them. It is learned that the Youth Congress' stand that shooting on the way will not be allowed is behind the denial of permission.

The film crew approached the chairperson yesterday afternoon. After locking up our leaders, who fought for the people, should I give permission for you people? This was her reply. She asked them how did you felt like asking me. Though they tried to get permission by saying Joju George is not acting in the film, she did not comply with it. Thrikkakkara is a place where shooting takes place a lot in Kerala, and if the municipality continues to be strict, it will create a lot of problems in the future.
