THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: It is a common complaint in our state that a passenger's dress will get dirty if he travels in transport buses. However, the KSRTC is gearing up to resolve this complaint. The authorities have decided to take action against the employees of the garages who are in charge of the unclean KSRTC buses.

The authorities had earlier ordered that CMD buses should be operated only after cleaning. However, this order was ignored in several places. The corporation decided to take appropriate action after the drivers and conductors also started complaining about uncleanliness in the buses.

Several buses are remaining unclean because of the lapses on the part of garage authorities. The buses are being cleaned by people from outside. Many of the buses are cleaned only from the outside. The platform, seats, shutters, driver's cabin, and rear window are often not cleaned. KSRTC will take action against the garage officer and the staff in charge if a complaint is received with evidence, including photos or video of the bus.
