CPM's mega Thiruvathira: Police registers case against 550 people, including district panchayat member

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The police has registered a case against the mega Thiruvathira held at Parassala in connection with the CPM conference. Parassala police have registered a case against 550 people, including district panchayat member VR Saluja. The case is under the Infectious Diseases Control Act. M Muneer, vice president of the Thiruvananthapuram DCC had lodged a complaint with the DGP against mega Thiruvathira. The complaint was against the violation of Covid norms.

The mega Thiruvathira was organized by the CPM with the participation of more than 500 people as part of the Thiruvananthapuram district conference. The mega festival was held at Parassala ahead of the district conference. Leaders including CPM politburo member MA Baby and district secretary Anavoor Nagappan were present on the occasion.
