RAIPUR: Whenever a Union Minister or state minister arrives to present a budget, we tend to notice the bag in the minister's hand. We have seen ministers carrying bags made of various items such as silk and leather. Now, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has caught the attention of the nation by carrying a suitcase made of cow dung to the state assembly ahead of the budget presentation.
Baghel was seen holding the suitcase made of cow dung while he posed for photos in his office in the legislative assembly ahead of the budget presentation. The briefcase was made by applying layer by layer mixture of cow dung powder, chuna powder, maida wood and guar gum in 10 days.
Baghel is already well known for taking the helm of livestock conservation activities. He provides excellent support for many, including organic farming.
The Congress-ruled Chhattisgarh government had announced in 2020 that it would procure cow dung from cow farmers. Chhattisgarh also became the first state to procure cow dung.
