KOCHI: Police have arrested TP Nandakumar, the editor of Crime weekly, on the complaint lodged by a female co-worker that he allegedly forced her to make a fake obscene video of Health Minister Veena George. In her complaint, Nandakumar's former employee alleged that Nandakumar forced her to assist him in making an obscene video. She also alleged that he mentally tortured her when she refused to assist him. Nandakumar was arrested by the Ernakulam Kakkanadu Infopark police.

According to the complainant, Nandakumar asked her to act in the video as Veena George's dupe. When she refused, he started threatening her and insulting her by calling her caste name. The woman said that she decided to lodge a complaint with the police when Nandakumar started sending threatening messages through WhatsApp. She also said that Nandakumar had offered her a huge sum to act in the obscene video. The woman had lodged a complaint with the police a month ago. Nandakumar was arrested today after being summoned for questioning in the case.

Earlier, the police had registered a case against Nandakumar for making defamatory remarks against Minister Veena George on social media.
