Agnipath: Protest continues, student union calls Bihar bandh tomorrow

PATNA: Protests are intensifying in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar against the Agnipath scheme announced by the central government. In Bihar, five trains were set on fire by the protesters. Police are on high alert for possible clashes in Patna. Opposition student unions in Bihar have called for a bandh tomorrow in protest of the Agnipath recruitment scheme.

In Bihar, protesters attacked the houses of Deputy Chief Minister Renu Devi and the BJP state president. A police station and police vehicle were set on fire in Jattari in Aligarh. Many railway stations were attacked and train services were disrupted in many places.
