Attack on AKG Centre; CM visits place where explosive thrown

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan visited AKG Centre where a bomb attack was witnessed last night. He examined the place where the bomb was hurled. He reached AKG Centre along with T P Ramakrishnan and Anavoor Nagappan. He stopped the vehicle on the road in front of the AKG Centre and walked towards the party office. His official response would be after the meet of the leaders.

Meantime, city police commissioner G Sparjan Kumar said that an investigation started soon after the attack. The CCTV cameras installed near the spot of the incident were checked. The remaining cameras will also be examined. The police are investigating on the number of people behind the attack. Separate teams will be formed and a detailed investigation will be conducted. He added that all inquiries would be put together and then will inform everything. Only after getting the details of the vehicle can it be ascertained whether there was a political motive behind the incident and about the person who hurled the bomb. The only information received so far is that that an explosive was thrown. The commissioner said the details of the inquiry would be codified under the leadership of the Cantonment AC.
