12 tables and 25 chairs were broken for 'pappadam'; many of the injured not willing to speak out

The brawl over extra pappadam during a wedding feast in Harippad on Sunday caused damages worth Rs 1.50 lakh to the auditorium. 12 tables and 25 chairs were broken in the brawl.

The incident took place on Sunday at an auditorium in Muttom. During the wedding feast, the friends of the groom asked for pappadam for the second time, which resulted in an argument. As the argument over not serving the papadam led to a fight, the ruckus extended outside the auditorium. The incident also became a hot topic of discussion on social media.

Meanwhile, sources that the auditorium owner has settled the complaint with the wedding party. Three people, including the auditorium owner, were injured in the ruckus. However, it is reported that nearly 20 people were injured that many are unwilling to speak out.
