Youth hacks grandfather over fight on missing cat

THRISSUR: A grandson hacked his grandfather at the end of a fight that broke out in connection with a missing cat. Kesavan (79) of Irinjalakuda Edakkulam Kombath House, sustained injuries in the attack. He was hacked by his grandson Sreekumar. The incident happened last night. Kesavan, who sustained injuries on his head, hands and legs was first admitted to Irinjalakuda General Hospital but later at the medical college hospital.

Sreekumar himself took Kesavan to the hospital. Special branch officer Sreejith, who reached the spot after knowing the incident, stopped Sreekumar and then handed him over to the Kattoor police. Sreekumar, an accused in cases including murder attempt, is addicted to drugs. An investigation is going on
