Sreenath Bhasi fails to appear for interrogation on complaint of reporter

KOCHI: Actor Sreenath Bhasi failed to appear for interrogation in the case of hurling abuses at a woman reporter. The police had directed him to appear at the Maradu station at 10 am Monday morning. The police asked him to appear for questioning tomorrow after the actor sought more time. The complaint said he used foul language and threatened the crew during the interview.

The incident happened during an interview held at a hotel in Kochi as part of the promotion of the actor’s new film Chattambi. The woman lodged a complaint against the actor with the Maradu police on September 22. The complaint said the actor, who did not like her questions, shouted at her and misbehaved with the cameraman. The police had recorded the statement of the complainant. The CCTV visuals will be crucial in the case. The actor said that he had not hurled abuses at the journalist.
