BENGALURU: The CBI carried out raids on properties owned by Karnataka Congress President DK Shivakumar. The CBI officials reached Shivakumar's house in Ramanagara and inspected the documents related to the properties. It is also reported that Shivakumar's relatives were also asked for property-related documents.
Apart from Shivakumar's house, the CBI team also inspected properties in Kanakapura, Doddalahalli and Santhe Kodihalli on Wednesday. The CBI had registered a case against Shivakumar in the disproportionate assets case. The CBI's inspection is to confirm whether the documents of his assets are genuine.
"The documents regarding the property have already been given to the CBI. A case of disproportionate assets has been filed against BJP leaders and others. But the CBI is being used only against me.'- accused Shivakumar.
