Heavy rains likely in four districts tomorrow, issues yellow alert

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted a possibility of rain in various districts of the state. Yellow alert has been declared in four districts tomorrow. The IMD has issued a warning in the districts of Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam and Idukki. Isolated heavy rain is likely to happen. 64.5 mm to 115.5 mm of rain is expected in 24 hours.

The Met office has informed that there is no restriction to fishing along Kerala-Karnataka coasts. According to the IMD, squally weather with wind speed reaching 40-50 KMph is likely to prevail over Lakshadweep area. Fishermen are advised not to venture into sea areas during this period.
