Youth threatened to circulate private pics, mother of four commits suicide

BENGALURU: A mother of four children committed suicide soon after her lover threatened to circulate their private pictures. The woman has been identified as Chamundeswari (35) residing in Bengaluru. The police have registered a case on her husband’s complaint.

The woman had sent a WhatsApp video to him before ending her life saying, ‘You be happy, but don’t trouble other girls this way in future.’ The woman was a therapist in a beauty parlour.

She got acquainted with the youth Mallikarjun six months ago. The two became close and he shot their private pictures on his mobile. She had helped him initially but when he demanded Rs 2 lakh, she refused to pay the amount. He then threatened to circulate the pics on the social media if she failed to pay the money. Soon after this she ended her life. Police then invoked Section 306 (Abetment of suicide) against Mallikarjun.
