Attack on woman doctor: PG doctors to go on 12-hour strike today

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Protest is becoming strong over the incident in which a woman doctor was kicked by a patient's husband after she informed him that the patient died while undergoing treatment.

PG doctors will go on a 12-hour strike today demanding the immediate arrest of the accused. The strike will take place from 8 in the morning to 8 at night. Doctors will march to the Medical College police station at 9.30 am today. Doctors will stay away from OP and Wards. They said that the strike will not affect the functioning of the Emergency Department, ICU and Labor Room. The IMA too came out in support of the protesting PG doctors.
