THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The CBI has stated that the sexual assault accusation against former minister Adoor Prakash is baseless. The complaint was that Adoor Prakash misbehaved with the complainant while she was called for a discussion regarding solar panel installation in Rajiv Gandhi Indoor stadium, Konni. This was mentioned in the report submitted to CBI chief judicial magistrate R Rekha requesting to conclude the case against him.

The complainant had bought Rs 2,30,000 from Konni Ootupura resident Mariyamma Sakria promising to install the solar panel. Mariyamma informed this to Adoor Prakash as the panel was not installed. The CBI found out that the complainant gave Rs 1,75,000 to the woman when he intervened. They also found that the complainant’s company was not behind installing solar panel in Konni stadium. She also accused that Adoor Prakash has sent her emails regarding a hotel booking in Bengaluru and flight ticket for her. But no such mail or document was found during inspection. According to the report, baseless allegations have been raised and the complainant has not been able to submit sufficient evidence to file a case.
