Tiger attacks labourer engaged in KSEB tower job in Pathanamthitta

PATHANAMTHITTA: A labourer was attacked by a tiger at Kottampara in Pathanamthitta. Anu Kumar of Angamoozhy sustained injuries in the attack. An 18-member team including Anu Kumar was engaged in a KSEB tower job in the forests.

The incident happened this afternoon. The work of the tower line was in the forests four kilometers away from Kottampara. All these 18 labourers were working in different parts. Anu Kumar was clearing the part under the tower. The tiger who came to attack the pig, jumped on top of him and bit him on his leg and stomach. The labourers somehow chased the animal away using sticks. As it was inside the forest, he was taken to the primary health center in Seethathode by walking. The labourers were in the forest for the work of Sabarigiri Pallam electric line.
