NEW DELHI: Minister of State, V Muraleedharan, said that the Chief Minister and the CPI(M) are misleading the people about national highway development. He said that the CM’s statement that only Kerala is spending 25% for land acquisition is wrong.
V Muraleedharan told the media that the party is misleading the people through flex-boards and discussions. While other states are spending up to 50% for land acquisition, Kerala is only paying 25%.
He continued that Tamil Nadu is paying half the amount of the Rs.470 crores needed for land acquisition for the Chennai – Madurai four-land elevated highway. In Punjab, the government is paying half the amount for land acquisition to build a bypass.
The Minister said that someone might have misled the CM. He added that he is happy that Kerala too is implementing the cooperative federalism.
